Kuntz Consumer Work Force Honored

The first and second shifts working at the sheltered workshop, MONCO Enterprises Inc. Kuntz Adult Services Center, were presented the “Whirpool Corporation Supplier Performance Award" for 2003 from Greg Wartinger, Director of Sales & Marketing, McGregor and Associates Inc., Brookville, Ohio.

McGregor & Associates Inc. were selected to receive the Award for 2003 and were recognized at a celebration dinner April, 29, 2004 at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Michigan. McGregor and Associates Inc. were so impressed with the performance of the workers at the Kuntz sheltered workshop, they decided to share the award with those individuals whose work won them the national award. In addition to the award, McGregor & Associates Inc. presented the workshop with a new Whirlpool freezer/ refridgerator for their cafeteria.

The selection criteria for the Supplier Award includes attaining preferred levels of performance in the areas of quality, productivity, working capital & materials management. Only 4% of Whirpool's North American supply base are being recognized with this award.

Greg Wartinger presented the award to the first and second shifts at the Kuntz Adult Services Center, along with Mike Speer, Director of Manufacturing for McGregor & Associates Inc.

There are 82 individuals in the McGregor work group at the Kuntz Adult Services Center. This group is comprised of very hard workers with disabilities who are capable of inspecting there own work and who look forward to coming to work each day. They are the people who are truly responsible for the quality work being sent out to McGregor customers.
